Codonopsis pilosula

Codonopsis pilosula, is a perennial herb of the genus Codonopsis umbrellas. Roots fusiform or long-funicular, dark brown or yellowish; stems erect; leaves ovate, pinnate or pinnate; flowers subulate or linear, umbels, style cylindrical; fruit ovate or ovate-oblong. The flowers and fruits of Codonopsis pilosula are similar to those of Alexandria plants. The root is similar to Codonopsis pilosula and can be used as medicine, hence the name.
