It is understood that Atractylodes lancea Atractylodes Lancea(Thunb.)DC. It is a famous medicinal material in Jiangsu Province and is recognized as a high-quality commodity of Atractylodes Rhizoma, especially the best quality produced in Maoshan area of Jurong, Jiangsu Province. However, in recent years, due to human factors and their own biological characteristics (such as pollination obstacles, poor self-recovery ability of the population) and other reasons, the distribution area and population of Atractylodes lancea have declined significantly, and the resources have been exhausted day by day. It has been listed as a rare protected plant at the provincial level and one of the four endangered medicinal plants in Jiangsu Province.
After nearly four years of technical research and base construction, the research group of Associate Professor Xiang Zengxu of Nanjing Agricultural University has developed nearly 500 mu of Atractylodes lancea seed collection base, which has laid the foundation for the recovery and development of Atractylodes lancea industry.
